My own take on the hellhounds: A hellish breed of hounds. Created for hunting and dragging more stubborn souls back down to hell. They are extremely larger then a normal dog. Most reaching an average male humans height.A large majority are used for hunting,down souls and take down demons. Attack dogs in a simpler sense.
There are messenger hounds as well. Those are the ones who deliver messages the higher ups or their masters send them to. Some are used as warning to the soul which is to be dragged to hell,before a larger,stronger and more intimidating hound appear.
Both the hunter and messenger hounds are loyal to their master/mistress,those who manage to tame and make a bond with the hound.


Kuro belongs to the messenger type hounds,having been trained to deliver messages,like: letters, packages,notes, and verbal messages.
Since the messenger type do not often go into combat,lacking the needed ferocity,viciousness and love of hunting and blood,she is much more tame. And is more speed inclined then strength. She is losing the fire like coloring of her true form as she grows and learns more. Becoming more dark,ash furred as her species are normally are. The eye color slowly darkens to a dark red,normal to the hellhounds and grows in size,the true form growing much larger and quicker then her human form.

Natural weapons: Fangs, Claws , and Tail that can become sharp and rough to be used as a whip; if needed,otherwise it is fluffy and warm can be hugged if asked

Trained weapons: Small bladed weapons like knifes and wires. Has some knowledge of other type of weapons but didn't really learn them well enough. She is mostly trained in fire magic.

Weakness:
Water: She is still a fire based creature so her main weakness is water. She can stay out in the rain for a while but it weakens her and her fire abilities. She also can't swim and prefers to stay away from large bodies of water and pools.

Loud noises: Comes from being a hellhound, the noise hurts her ears and will make her sink into the shadows to get away from the source of the loud noise. She especially dislikes yelling.

Strong scents: Can be overwhelming and force her into the shadows or away from the scents .Foul smells make her feel ill and make her go into the shadows to get away from the source of the smell.

Bright Lights: Flashing a bright source of light like a flashlight into her eyes will make her panic and either lash out to turn off the light or sink into the shadows to get away from the light. She can stand bright light somewhat if it is not directly shone into her face.

Hands:She mainly manipulates her fire ability with her hands,so if her hands are hurt the ability is weakened.

Ears: They are sensitive to sounds and are generally just sensitive so she keeps them covered with her hair. She will dislike anyone who bites or touches them without her permission,a way to make her hide in the shadows or hound out.

Collar: Her collar acts like a seal and glamor,containing her monster form. A part of her which she is wary to use, she won't use or be in her monster form if she can help it.


Major Skills:
Fire Manipulation: Having the affinity with fire and shadows,fire is her strongest element. She is able to form and manipulate fire from her hands. Her hands are the main focus point of her fire manipulation ability. She can breath fire out of her mouth yet it is uncontrolled and random,often appearing as smoke when she sneezes.

Super speed: Being speed based creature she is able to move twice as fast as a human giving her great bursts of speed once in a while. After the use of the speed however she does need to rest for however long she has used the speed for.The longer the use the longer the rest.

Shadow Manipulation: A new ability, she is still learning and is able to manipulate the shadows slightly so they would gain solidity for a brief time. Yet they are unfocused and often don't do what she wants. At most she can make the shadows trip someone.

Shadow travel- Becoming one of the shadows and travel from shadow to shadow,thought needs to follow a scent or she would get lost in the shadows. She is unable to interact with anything from within the shadows. The ability is mostly used to put a distance if she is too close and feels in danger _{also used for stalking and if late for class}

Minor Skills:

Shape shifting She can take on a shape of a Labrador puppy,which seems to now be larger then a normal puppy.  The worst she can do in this form is breath a puff of smoke.

Enchanted Senses: Being a  Canine based creature, tracking with scent and hearing is hound like,if not better.

Fire Immunity: Being a fire based creature she isn't really affected by fire.

Fast Learner: Despite her attention span _{which is short} She can pick up things rather quickly,taking a few tries to learn something new and foreign to her and with practice get better.

Stamina: She is able to stay on her feet and do things longer then a normal human can, not able to run out of energy it seems. Thought she can run out of energy if the tasks are hard and take long time to complete. Using magic tires her out easier.

Personality: Kuro is an energetic (read as hyper) pup who likes to play most of the time. Always wearing a smile she is a cheerful girl who doesn't see anything negative to be sad or upset about. She is positive and likes to make other laugh or smile. Believing the best in others she thinks others to be good until proven otherwise. Holding a child like and carefree outlook in life. Still being young she does not understand relationships,mostly understanding how to behave around teachers,students,friends and family. Anything more is beyond her,not understanding the more complex emotions and feelings in relationships. Growing up with some affection she loves close contact and will happily snuggle or cuddle to those she cares and have given her permission to do so.it does help her tail if it is out is warm and fluffy,and she is fluffy in puppy form. Being a Hellhound she is loyal creature to those she considers her family and close friends.Knowing some boundaries most of the time when she sees others can take care of themselves she is out of her league with help. Liking to be useful and helpful Kuro is willing to help anyone who asks help from her. Of course what she helps with has to be within reason. Despite her cheerful,child like nature she can be serious and calm when the situation calls for it. Mostly this part shows up during combat,classrooms,learning or when she does want to be taken seriously,however rare that is.


Character's Background:


Born in an over protective and loving pack, a strange and unusual sight for the packs of hell hounds . Kuro's main job was mainly to deliver small messages like notes, letters and packages to anyone of her pack. She barely went out into the real, human world since her parents where over protective of her and feared that she would get hurt. Staying mostly in the cool dark shadow world she called home. She didn't get to learn much outside of her abilities, nature. She had a few friends who where close to her parents and brothers. One day she stayed a bit longer then usual in the human realm and saw a school, seeing how the humans interacted and laughed together, it was a curious and fun thing to her it seemed, school sounded interesting and curious. Her curiosity peaked from the school and parts of the different cultures of the human world she asked her mother if she could go out. Her mother refused bluntly, saying that she would get hurt. An argument ensued and after some time Kuro won the right to go into the human world. However having bad sense of direction when not using shadows she quickly got lost on her way to observing the human school. Hearing something she followed some whispers which talked of a school, an academy. Following the whispers she came upon a few monsters in their human form she was amazed. How well the monsters blended in. Hearing the rumors of Monster Academy and how it was a great place to learn how to be human and behave like one. Curios and determined to learn more about the human world she asked her mother. For a second time a large argument happened but reluctantly her mother agreed with some coaxing from her older brother.

Second Year Changes: Not really much had changed for her, she learned a lot during her first year in Monster Academy  and made new friends and those who she looks up to. She is biiit more calmer, but not much as she has loads of energy and will be happy to play with anyone given the chance.


Roleplay Info:
Shadow manipulation, Fire manipulation , becoming a shadow and moving in the pitch black with ease like breathing. Those where the skills a young hound was taught as they aged and became more mature and older being. Some where taught by their masters, some from the older hounds. Yet somehow ,some way it was taught to them by others. Which lead to the whole dilemma which Kuro faced. Sitting on the ground under the cover of the leaves of the tree she had taken refuge under. Staring at the shadows with a light pout, of course she had no one , well she hadn't found anyone who could teach her shadow manipulation and so had to learn it on her own. Placing her gloved hands on the shadow covered ground she focused on the shadow and her magic,twining her magic with the shadows,slowly they began to move unnaturally some even solidifying. The problem, it wasn't anywhere she controlled. The thud nearby  shattered the delicate concentration she had and the magic she had on the shadows,making the shadows drop and be well, regular shadows. Looking in the direction of the thud Kuro blinked innocently before looking away,ducking her head, intimating a puppy who done something wrong. Biting her lip Kuro tried and failed suppressing a sheepish grin, oops she didn't mean to trip anyone.

 As she gets older her hair loses the golden high lights.
 She has her quiet moments but then again they are rare
